One woman changes everything a man has ever known about dominance and desire in the final scintillating novel in the Breathless trilogy.

When it comes to sex, Ash McIntyre has always explored his wilder side—extreme and uncompromising. He demands control. And he prefers women who want it like that. Even the women he’s shared with his best friend, Jace.

But Jace is involved with a woman he has no intention of sharing. And now even Gabe has settled into a relationship with a woman who gives him everything he needs, leaving Ash feeling restless and unfulfilled.

Then Ash meets Josie, who seems immune to his charms and his wealth. Intrigued, he begins a relentless pursuit, determined she won’t be the one who got away. He never imagined the one woman to tell him no would be the only woman who’d ever drive him to the edge of desire.

Boring

This book was boring most of the time and the main characters irritating... Would not recommend. See how I didn’t use a pronoun..

babs-1015

Burn

Burn started off well but without the use of pronouns in a lot of the sentences, I could not take this book seriously. I thought this would change in the 3rd book since I irritatingly noticed this in the 2nd, but such is not the case. The first couple hundred pages weren’t so bad but it seemed that the lack of pronouns doubled as the book went on. The storyline wasn’t very interesting or different from the other two either, which was disappointing.

Burn

Wow. I really enjoyed this book. More so than the second one. It was very sweet and had some action. I wish it had more action, but the ending was great. I think it was a little overpriced but still a good read.

Kai-Jaiden

There's this thing called a pronoun.....

Seriously! What is with the lack of pronouns?!? It was so irritating I just started mentally added them myself! No one talks like that! This book was too similar to the last with the near death "come to Jesus" moment. What is with all books portraying fast tracked relationships that are unrealistic and always have fairytale endings? Feel bad for all the men out there in the real world as they will never live up to the standards set in these novels. 👆👆See what I did there? No pronoun just sounds ridiculous.

I read all three, weak story lines and I had to push myself to read the last one. DW

Burn

It was basically the same as "Fever". The book felt rushed just to finish the series. Rich, powerful, good looking guy finds a troubled girl and wants her to submit. I think the author just went back and changed "Jace" to "Ash" and "Bethany" to "Josie". Thought there could've been a different plot line - delve more into Ash's family troubles. Whatever - sex sells and so will this book!

Joeygirl1980

Great book and series.

Great book and series. Hope there is another.

Shelise Leona

Cliche...Typical...Unoriginal

Even though I loved Ash. It's the same storyline from book two, just a different girl. This book is a waste of a read & money.

Not worth it ...

Starting with the first book ....in Rush... Gabe a strong sexy millionaire ... Lusting after his best friends baby sister... He was hot, taught Mia a lot and fell for her hard but didn't know how to handle his feelings for her. Mia inexperienced, much younger than Gabe but has had feelings for him for awhile.... Gabe made a mistake in Paris .. He came to terms as to why he made the mistake but still couldn't come terms with his feelings for Mia which lead to some heart break but in the end worked out wonderfully!! Now comes Fever and Burn ... The writer just threw these stories together without any thought... Made the heroes out to be wimps... The heroine for Jace was just a complaining female... She was ridiculous as was Jace ... Maya Banks could have done so much better for Jace.... I so looked forward to Ash's story and again it was a flop then Ms Banks did it again she made Gabe look awful... Ugh .. I was sooo disappointed with the sequels, do not buy them if you don't have too... Go to the second hand store for them ... Rush is the only one worth paying full price!

Burn

I have read the first two books in this series and am now about 1/3 done with Burn. I have enjoyed them all, the characters, story lines, etc...However, the incomplete sentences when Ash speaks is driving me crazy. Enough that I had to stop and write a review about it. It may be how the author envisioned him speaking but trying to read a sentence that starts with no subject is taking away from how much I enjoy the story.

Sarbizu

Love Maya Banks!

What a great trilogy's, left me totally breathless and had me shedding some tears in sorrow and in happiness!

Reader1976

Robotic

The first two books were great but not this one. The plot started out good but at a certain point it started to annoy me when the men started speaking they would omit the first word of their sentences! I had to re-read the sentences because I thought my eye was missing a word...it wasn't. For this reason, I ended up skimming through the book. Although, I do have to say that the sex scenes were still on point! The words were there but at certain points of the book it felt like I was reading robotically.

Couldn't put it down

I just got the book yesterday morning and loved every minute of it. I also like that Ash found someone for himself. I'm hopping there's going to be a book on Brittany and Kia want to see what accolades they would face before they say "I do".

Lookie-Loo

My favorite in the series.

The plot to this story was better thought out than the others. It was more romantic w/o any the shock & ugh, that the other stories presented. It actually scraped the surface of what I figured is the next book in the series.

Happy endings

Good book. I laughed, got a little misty (just slightly) and smiled at the end. On a more critical note.. This book seemed to lack something. The relationship seemed slightly hurried. Also, the sentence structure or maybe even character speech patterns was a little unusual. Overall it was a happy end to the series and a good read.

Left Bored

This book was not one of her best. I thought Ash was written as methodical and robotic. The passion just wasn't there. The words were there, the feeling they were supposed to imply, was not. It was very hard for me to finish this book and that is very rare for me. If I have to make myself finish a book and finish it disappointed? I rarely go back to that author. The plot, the love story, the characters just did not draw me in, they left me bored to tears.

Lucy94577

Ughh....

Boring and predictable......

Shellv12

Story ok, grammar not so much

I'm surprised that this authors books have taken a downward turn. The storyline isn't as strong as in her other books and the mass amount of incomplete sentences spoken by the characters became annoying very quickly. I hope this lull is just a phase. I don't know if I can allow myself the torture through another book.

FL FAN!

So so

The story line feels so rushed, it's hard to believe even in fantasyland ... Still, I do love Gabe, Jace and Ash...

Crystal8642

Okay... I guess.

The book is okay, the storyline is really... Far-fetched, to say the least. The author also does this weird thing with the men, by making omitting the first word of their speech... Making them seem really... Dim-witted. I think it was to make the dialogue more colloquial, and to make the characters seem more realistic — but instead it just serves to irk me to pieces.

Miimac7

terrible

This book is terrible. The plot is weak and un-original. The book is like a combination of all the popular erotic books out right now. I found the dialogue very annoying, especially the clipped cave man style of Ash. This book was not as good as books 1 and 2, which were mediocre at best.

Antonio joy

Burn

This book was hard to read at times. The author repeatedly mentions how close the male characters are. I don't know how many times I read "I've got your back." The females characters seem so weak and spineless. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

adriana001

Alright

There were some good parts while others were pointless. I feel the author just rushed through the book to get the series finished. So overall it's an alright book but the first 2 were better.

LRatley

Not so much...

Maya leaves the first word off of most sentences when the characters are talking which is terrible. This book was cheesy at best. I almost didn't buy it because of her previous writing style, but wanted to finish the series. I basically wasted my money. I skimmed thru the pages just to hurry and finish the book. I never write reviews on things, but this one was so bad I had too. I love Sylvia Day, Shayla Black, etc... But Maya Banks is an author that I won't be buying again. For sure.

Aduvy

Loved the Book.

I think this is the first trilogy I've read that doesn't have me annoyed or longing for an unnecessary fourth book to keep the story going. All three books are great and kept me content to and from work.. I just wish I didn't read them so fast!

The same thing three times

I am sucker for romance novels and pop culture but I'm finding this book quite hard to finish as its almost exactly the same as the previous novels and I am so bored at this point.... There is also something wrong with the writing style, I can't exactly pin point it...perhaps it's the way the alpha males talk in her novels... Disappointing. Loved the first two books but this one I almost didn't finish. This story just didn't sizzle like the first two books.

Burn Review

I loved Gabe and I loved Jace but Ash..... Is a beast (that's a good thing). I waited for Burn to come out and I read it in one day, I read (skimmed) Fever the day before because I loved the series and wanted to refresh myself. Burn is a great book. I found myself highlighting sections and reading some parts over and over. Ash is intense and he protects what is his. I like that he "knows some people" which brings a different element to his character. I really enjoy Maya Banks books and Burn did NOT disappoint. I almost thought she might squeak out another book for Brittany and Kai, but the way it ended was great. I have read many romance novels over the last year but I never wrote a review before, but I just had to with Burn!!

Hot hot hot

Wow what a series ... A must read very hot and dangerous

MaddiHicks

Not perfect, but pretty close

I really did love this book. You see a totally different side of Ash and you just can't help but love him! All three of them, Jace, Gabe and Ash. Some people have mentioned how the author leaves out the introductory word to a sentence when Ash is speaking. That annoyed me, a lot. But other than that I thought it was a great book. I highly recommend it! I think I also loved it because we got to see more of Bethany an Mia! (:

Just okay

This trilogy started off interesting, but by the time I made it to Burn I found myself skimming pages. I also hated the way the guys talked leaving parts of their words out...It was distracting.

Scburf3

Do not waste your money!

If I could give zero stars I would. This book was so horrible. I don't even know where to begin. Gabe's story was so good. Jace's was awful and I didn't think it would get worse than that. I was wrong, it did. And I would die happy if I never, ever have to hear about f-me shoes. Ugh! And when the girls had a huddle at the bar to pump themselves up for the sex in their f-me shoes that about did me in. So awful. I felt like My retinas were burning reading it. Don't bother buying this.

Bibj76

Burn

I wanted an epilogue to know what happens to everyone at the end of the book. I don't like how the book ended.

Tngmommy21

Kind of a hard read

It's taking me a while to read this book because I honestly can't stand how the author keeps leaving out the beginning word when the main character speaks. He's supposed to be a successful businessman yet he sounds like a caveman. Very barbaric and ignorant.

Rachaelkat

Great read...

Great finish to the story of these three guys though the best parts are when the girls are together being Druskin cohorts.

Burn

Maya Banks really outdid herself with the trio of Burn, Rush and Fever, the stories were good and if I didn't read so many books I think I would have been surprised by the outcomes. The story lines were fantastic, the ending being the only predictable part. Definitely erotic! After 50 Shades of Grey, it was tough to find books that appealed to my daring side and yet were a breath of fresh air. These books are hit the mark for kinky, yet are tastefully done. Thanks Maya!!!

I loved the close bond among them all, family, the plot, the intensity if the men and their women, the dominance, the sex, etc. I don't know what to make of Kai, it was a boom kind of character, not much about him, history, background, but anyway, loved it and hope there is a fourth book for this series!
